How to: Dell Mini 10v Snow Leopard Hackintosh
Follow these condensed instructions from Gizmodo to create your Dell Mini 10v Snow Leopard Hackintosh.
What you will need:
- Dell Mini 10v Netbook with BIOS version A05 or lower.
BIOS downgrade instructions available at MyDellMini forum.
- Retail version of Apple Mac OS X 10.6 DVD, ISO or DMG.
Operating System updates can be applied after installation.
- A USB flash drive with a capacity of 8gb or greater. An external USB hard disk drive could be used instead.
- Access to Apple Mac computer, which will be used to prepare your USB flash drive.
- Netbook BootMaker software for Mac.
Instructions:
- Use Apple Disk Utility to partition the USB drive with a Master Boot Record and then use the restore feature to image the Snow Leopard DVD onto the newly created partition.
- Open Netbook Maker and select the USB drive before telling it to prepare the boot drive.
- Plug the USB drive into your Dell Mini 10v, boot from USB and install Mac OS X Snow Leopard.
- Install the British/UK keyboard layout found at Phil Gyford's website.

How to: Remove Intel menu from Windows desktop context menu
All Windows versions: Installing Intel GMA drivers within Windows causes new options to be added to the Windows desktop context menu (right-click menu): Graphics Properties... and Graphics Options.
To remove these infrequently used options, follow the instructions below.
- Run regedit.
- Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\Shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
- Delete the key igfxcui
- Close the registry editor.
No need to log off. The results should be instant.
